CONTROL SYSTEM RESEARCHER

Co-developed model-based anomaly detection system for process equipment using Auto-associative models (AAKR, AANN) and fault-detection technique (SPRT). Developed a new prognostic framework that resulted in faster fault detection; 88% F1 score.
Conducted research on the analysis of Valve Stiction in industrial control valves with KMUTT, a renowned university in Thailand; developed novel data-driven valve stiction model resulting in faster quantification algorithm and revealed un-for-seen stiction characters.
Conducted research with KMUTT on Adaptive PID controller for PVC Reactors Temperature control. Constructed a mathematical model and applied adaptive PID controller to reduce maximum overshoot during the first intake; resulting in a 67% reduction of temperature maximum overshoot.
Developed a Control Performance Monitoring system (CPM) to evaluate control loop performance using minimum variance control (MVC) and anomaly detection (AAKR, AANN, SPRT), and also diagnosed the root cause of poor performance control loops.
Developed a novel PID tuning algorithm using SIMC and optimization method to effectively compensate for long dead time which is the prime problem for petrochemical plants.
Implemented plant-wide oscillation detection to identify the source loop generated ripple effects.
